Head of Science in a Secondary School - Teaching Science for over 9 years. I am a UCL graduate and have been working as a Science teacher for over 9 years where I am currently working as the Head of Science in a secondary school. In 2016 I achieved a 98% A*-A in triple science for the year 11 class I taught. I have taught in three different outstanding schools all the way from KS3 to A-level Biology. I have experience in working with students of different needs and abilities and I am able to cater towards those needs as well. I have taught in different syllabuses that include AQA and Edexcel. My subject knowledge in Science is now excellent as I have developed it over the years.
How would you describe your teaching style?
As a teacher I work towards breaking down topics into small chunks especially by making sure that they understand the basics of each topic and by using various analogies so that the content that is difficult is easier to understand. I work towards scaffolding the material by making sure that all my students are making progress. I have taught all range of classes from high to low ability students.

I have working as a one-to-one and a small group tutor over the last 8 years. I am good at identifying the needs of individual students and working with them to improve their results and understanding of key Science topics.
