School Teacher - experienced in KS2, KS3 and GCSE prep: Great results in 11+ exam, ISEB common entrance exams, year 6 SATS preparatory and MATH GCSE!** I will be running 4 weeks of free workshops: HOW TO STUDY EFFECTIVELY HOW TO WRITE A STRONG ESSAY Both of these are great for students in year 8 - A levels Please get in touch for more information. As an experienced and qualified classroom teacher, I have a strong background in teaching Maths, English and Science as well as Spanish. I am confident with the National Curriculum and prepping students for the 11+, entrance exams, SATS and GCSE Maths. I hold an Honours degree in English, a Bachelors degree in Education and am working towards a degree in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. I am also highly motivated by children`s mental health and physical well-being. I own a company, Bettering Youth which is a mental, physical and emotional wellbeing program suitable for children through the school or at home coaching. As such, I include training in how to study and prepare for tests, as well as a range of techniques for organization and stress management. I am also highly experienced in tutoring online. This ensures that I deliver an effective and engaging session that would be comparable to a session face to face. With online sessions I have the ability to draw on screen using an interactive whiteboard, I am able to share papers and documents that can be annotated in real time, and of course, still see and communicate with the child. My utmost intention is to help the children grow in confidence, gain a clear understanding of the theory we cover and build their resilience to work through challenging work. I am currently accepting a limited amount of clients as these sessions are in high demand. I look forward to hearing from you, SarahLynn

How would you describe your teaching style?

I believe we should teach the child, not teach to the test. Therefore each child is treated as an individual and all of our lessons reflect their unique personality and learning preferences.

What qualifications do you have?

I have an honours degree in English rhetoric and Media studies; A bachelor of Education degree with a minor in Biology Therefore I am a certified and experienced classroom teacher with full QTS.

Tell us about your experience...

I am an advocate for children's wellbeing and believe each child should be given the opportunity to feel confident. Therefore, I left the classroom as a full time teacher to tutor professionally. Over the last three years my business, Bettering Youth has grown to include myself and other fully qualified teachers who offer academic tutoring services and emotional wellbeing coaching.

What locations do you tutor in?

I tutor online which gives me great ability to tutor far and wide. As I am local to Berkshire, many of my clients come from: Windsor, Maidenhead, Beaconsfield, Virginia Water and Ascot. Though I also have some clients in: South London, East London and Burmingham. Additionally I have experience working with students in Dubai, Turkey, France, Italy, and China.

What is your personal message to students?

The only way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time: The best way to learn something is through little and often exposure.
