I graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2018 with a degree in Psychological and Behavioural Science. Currently I work as a research associate for the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the Oxford University Hospital Trust (NHS). I am about to start a second degree in Medicine at Cardiff University in September.

How would you describe your teaching style?

My teaching style is based off my own passion for psychology, as well as Latin and Ancient Greek! I primarily tutor A level candidates and people preparing to apply to university for psychology-related degrees. I believe it's important for students to develop enthusiasm for what they learn, and I make sure to devote sufficient lesson time to discussion of learnt topics. At the same time, memory consolidation is especially important for exam learning (practicing recalling information is more important that just learning it) and as such I expect my students to work between my sessions, and to start each lesson with a recap of last lesson's content. Not everyone can be taught the same however, and my methodology is flexible to suit individuals who are enthusiastic about learning!

What qualifications do you have?

BA (Hons) - Psychological and Behavoural Sciences, University of Cambridge (2.i) A* - Latin (A Level) A - Ancient Greek (A Level) A - Government and Politics (A Level)

Tell us about your experience...

I have worked both with several companies and privately for the past 4 years tutoring students for Oxbridge admissions, Psychology, Latin/Ancient Greek and admissions aptitude testing (Oxford, Cambridge, UCAT). I have also worked in Hampstead Fine Arts College as a PSHE teacher.

What locations do you tutor in?

Anywhere (online) and within Central/North London in person

What is your personal message to students?

I obviously cannot sit anyone's exams and as such can't always guarantee a top grade/offer at Oxbridge. However, my role is to instead help direct a student's hard work and effort towards the goal they wish to achieve in the most effective way possible. If you're a hard-working and diligent student who needs that extra edge to get a top grade or is struggling to keep up with classwork, I can help with that. I don't believe any student can't work hard and do well if they're guided in the right way, and I endeavour to ensure every student I tutor finds passion in their subject if they haven't already.
