Want to know how I raised my grades from an "E" to an "A*" in my GCSEs? I'll share you my secrets! I have been at the bottom of my class before and I know exactly how that feels. As your tutor, I will motivate you to work harder and become the best version of yourself! I am now pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering at University. Who knew an "E" student could be an Engineer! With over 500+ hours of tutoring experience and a handful of students receiving distinctions and A*s in their examination, I am confident that I would be able to guide you towards success! A student of mine is currently pursuing a degree in nutrition science and food technology. I am highly experienced with the AQA, Edexcel, OCR A and CAIE exam boards.
How would you describe your teaching style?
My teaching style I would say is a simplified way of studying the sciences. I was once at the bottom of my class and I found little tricks here and there that has helped me to achieve an A* in my chemistry and high Bs in my Biology, Physics and mathematics. These tricks are what my students enjoy from me. I have been told countlessly that my way of answering the questions makes everything so much simpler. Even those that struggle with calculations will find it easy with my methods. You will have that "Aha!" moment that my students have had and from then on, I promise you your view on science will change. For the first lesson, I would do a get to know session and then a quick quiz just to see how far you've gone in the syllabus. We will be following the GCSE and A level syllabuses. There will be some topics that I will teach you ahead of time that may not be needed in the exam, but will help you in your next academic year and aid you to understand some of the other topics. After covering each topic, we will do worksheets and exam style questions to familiarise ourselves with the question paper. Once we have covered everything on the syllabus, we will begin mock examinations which I call "trials". Homework will be minimal as I do not want to disturb your school life, however, if you prefer to have more homework, I will give it to you. Most homework given will take up to 1.5 hours to complete at most.
