*Because of Covid I am only offering online tutoring* Hi, I'm Naomi, I offer fun, enjoyable tutoring sessions that are tailored uniquely to your needs\interests. I'm educated up to a Master's degree in history and heritage studies and my particular specialisms are in the Georgian Era and Jane Austen, and the Cold War. I'm not here to lecture anyone, I want to help people enjoy these subjects and reach their potential! I can also offer very basic BSL and Makaton (for younger students) translations if needed.
How would you describe your teaching style?
My teaching style is aimed at putting subjects into terms students understand and connecting it to things that students enjoy to give a personal understanding of the subject. I'm a very visual teacher and I love playing games to aid learning.
What qualifications do you have?
MA Heritage Studies BA History Certificate in Jane Austen Studies A Level History, German and French Level 1 and Level 2 British Sign Language 9 A*-B GCSEs.
Tell us about your experience...
I've been informally tutoring since starting my undergraduate degree in 2012, and including an official university program group tutoring KS2 English in a local primary school. I've been officially online tutoring since the beginning of this year, tutoring basic Spanish on a two-to-one and one-to-one basis.
What locations do you tutor in?
Because of Covid-19 and personal disability I am currently only offering online tutoring.
What is your personal message to students?
I'm not a teacher who lectures at you for an hour, I'm hands-on and get you actively involved. I want to give you a unique experience and help you find your interest in a subject.
