I am an experienced PGCE qualified teacher since 1997. For the last 24 years, I have been first a Secondary and later on a Primary school educator in Bristol and surrounding areas. I have been a Modern Foreign Languages (MFLs) specialist, in French and Spanish. I have taught Modern Foreign Languages from Key Stages 1 to 5 in various schools in Bristol. I am naturally sociable person, passionate in making language learning fun. Based on years of professional and life experience, I like to empower multilingualism in my teaching. As learning another language has been scientifically and medically proven to have beneficial impact on personal well-being and contribute in helping cerebral fitness, I take teaching Modern Foreign Languages seriously and like to share my passion to students. Furthermore I am incline to support the fact that learning another language helps learners to understand cultural differences and provides opportunities in celebrating the richness of the multicultural and diverse communities fit for the 21st Century. I am a firm believer in using music, dance and drama in teaching as it has a very positive impact in the learning of students. Adding to my extensive experience in teaching Modern Foreign Languages (French and Spanish) from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5, I enjoy promoting creativity in education in my day-to-day teaching, especially using music, dance and art to inspire children’s/students’ learning of languages. I therefore think that the Art and languages help students enhance their creative abilities by "stretching" their Neuroplasticity.
