I am an experienced teacher and head of Media Studies. I have been teaching now for 6 years, and 3 of those have been spent as a subject leader. I am very fortunate in that I have garnered a vast amount of my teaching experience in an outstanding school, where are I have worked with some truly inspirational teachers who have played an integral role in shaping my teaching pedagogy. Despite my specialist subject being Media Studies, I am also an experienced English teacher and I have successfully tutored GCSE English to many students over the years.
How would you describe your teaching style?
My tutoring style tends to be calm and fluid, I think its important that a student feels comfortable and open so that they are able to admit their weaknesses and recognise their strengths, creating a learning environment that is relaxed and enjoyable.
What qualifications do you have?
I have a 2:1 BA (hons) degree in Media Studies and Drama with Performing Arts. I studied for my PGCE at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
