I am a Masters student at King's College in Contemporary Literature, Culture and Theory. I have a passion for literature and enjoy working with my students to spark similar interests. I have worked as a tutor for a year with CoachBright and have a friendly and patient approach. Please contact me for more information.
How would you describe your teaching style?
I am kind and patient and I adapt every one of my sessions to my tutee's needs. I set goals so my students feel that they are actively improving and I aim to make each session interesting and interactive. I don't believe in an impersonal approach, I want my tutees to feel happy and relaxed and enjoy English as a subject.
What qualifications do you have?
I have an undergraduate first in English Literature and Italian from the University of Exeter and am currently studying for an MA in Contemporary Literature, Culture and Theory at King's College London.
Tell us about your experience...
Over the last year I have worked as a tutor for CoachBright - giving academic support to a school in Exeter, tutoring students through their GCSE exams. I also have privately tutored A Level English students and helped their confidence throughout Zoom learning.
What locations do you tutor in?
West London but able to work remotely.
What is your personal message to students?
It is my job to make English literature exciting for you. I want to engage you in the subject and help you find studying literature interesting. I would like you to feel comfortable coming to me with questions and issues, and we can work through aspects you find difficult together. I found studying hard at school, and I want to help you feel more confident!
