I am currently a secondary education mathematics teacher in a mixed ability school. I teach up to and including 'A' level mathematics. I have been teaching for over 10 years and have always achieved exceptional results. I help students to become more confident in their learning thus achieving the results they were always capable of. I gently lead the student through the process of learning new skills and help them use these skills to answer ever more complex questions. Working with GCSE students is my passion which I show with every one of my lessons.
How would you describe your teaching style?
Patient and understanding. I realise not all students have a love of maths but I firmly believe every student can improve and realise their full potential given the correct circumstances. I allow students to make their own connections between topics in maths by gently nudging them in the right direction.
What qualifications do you have?
BSc Mathematics and Computing
Tell us about your experience...
I have worked for over 10 years in mainstream schools teaching across both KS3 and KS4 with tremendous results. I have been asked several times to tutor colleagues own children which I think shows the high regard my teaching is held in.
What locations do you tutor in?
Oldham and online
What is your personal message to students?
I understand we're not all natural mathematicians but I will guide you gently through all the mathematical processes that you need to fulfil your potential. It doesn't matter if you feel you are not very good at maths, I will build your confidence until you are ready to tackle more and more complex problems. If you are struggling we will work together to overcome any problems and ultimately make you a more confident, enthusiastic mathematician.
