What is your personal message to students?
A professional and committed tutor, I'm committed to explaining subjects in ways that allow students to gain in confidence and enthusiasm for their studies. After completing my International Baccalaureate at the United World College of the Atlantic, where I was selected to by the British National Committee to represent Great Britain and was awarded full scholarship awarded on merit, I studied Philosophy at the University of Warwick. Studying Philosophy, I realised there was a need to work with concepts at a tangible level. Thus, I founded my design company StudioYASHKA, designing tools to shape the way we think. Supported by the British Fashion Council, StudioYASHKA presents at London Fashion Week and in international exhibitions. Alongside design, I'm completing research into the Philosophy of design and currently write on this subject for the Saatchi Gallery Magazine, as well as working as Creative Director for philosophy organisation, The Public Sphere. Together with this, I tutor and have also taught Philosophy and Religious Studies at a private sixth form college. I'm extremely passionate about developing new strategies for explaining big ideas in tangible and accessible ways. Having tutored for the last six years alongside my writing and academic work, I am an exceptionally experienced tutor, committed to my students and able to dedicate time for their needs. My time spent as examiner for Religious Studied AQA A level has given me inside information about the requirements for students’ exam papers. I am writing the libretto for an exciting new opera in my spare time!
