I offer Electric and Acoustic guitar lessons, both in English or Spanish. I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2016 with a dual degree in Performance, Songwriting and Music Production. I was awarded the Latin American scholarship after my audition to get into Berklee. Prior to my music studies, I got a degree in Business back home in Lima University in Lima-Peru. I have been playing guitar for 20 years and teaching private lessons for about 10 years now. When it comes to guitar lessons the styles I focus on are classical, rock, blues, pop, jazz, folk and fusion. Also teach songwriting, production and mixing.

How would you describe your teaching style?

I teach both Acoustic and Electric guitar. I have developed a method for both of them in order to work on: - Developing finger dexterity, independence, speed and strength. - Different Techniques according to acoustic or electric guitar. Ex: Strumming, finger picking, tremolo, alternate picking, legato, bending, etc. - Music Theory: chords, scales, harmony, etc. - Ear Training, to be able to transcribe by ear and understand what you are hearing - Timing - Feeling I do mix my method with what the student wants to learn and focus on also, so I end up creating a personalized program for each individual, according to their own personal goals.

What qualifications do you have?

- I had classic guitar training since a young age - I went to Berklee College of Music for Performance also Contemporary Writing and Music Production, on a Latin American Scholarship

What is your personal message to students?

I think that, style aside, the most important thing is to try to find a teacher, that is able to transmit the knowledge in the easiest and most effective way possible. At any level (but specially in the early stages) of playing an instrument, the most important thing is to get the basics right, theory and technique. After that, is way easier to start developing everything from there. So, look for somebody that has this 3 characteristics: - Knowledge - Great ability to explain (knowledge means nothing if you can't put into words, that can be understood but the student) - Patience
