Hi my name is Fran ! I am a Biomedical science graduate from the University of Kent, now studying Graduate Entry Medicine. I have a huge passion for science and biology, which is the main reason I have committed myself to 7 years in post education. My learning style is always developing, and as for one I understand and can relate to the difficulties of having to pass exams having not always been a top A* student myself, but using perseverance to help with getting my achievements. My priority as a tutor is to try and help my students learn and understand topics, I think it is key to try and tackle this first. Then using repetition, past exam paper questions and engagement to try and build on this. I am keen to share my study techniques and learning styles with other students to help them become successful. I am very adaptive and will use your own specification to teach making sure the lessons cover each of the objectives found in the specification, at the end covering relevant past exam questions. As exams come closer I can tackle more specific issues that the student may be having and critique past papers with helping to improve. I am an approachable, friendly individual who always creates a comfortable environment to learn in. Online tuition only.
How would you describe your teaching style?
From constantly having to develop my own learning technique, I think it's important to adapt to find the best way the student learns. I like to use repetition and practice questions to enforce teaching core concepts.
