I have recently retired as Head of Chemistry in a successful Kent Grammar school, which has allowed me to focus on private tutoring. I have over 30 years experience of preparing exam students for the major exam boards, giving me a detailed knowledge of the requirements of the GCSE and A-Level syllabi. I use many and varied resources from books, notes and worksheets, to past papers and their markschemes, which I use to consolidate learning. I have developed many of my resources for online use through my most recent employment at a leading Kent Independent school, where I taught whole classes using Google Classroom and Meet. COVID-19 Update: Please note that all face to face tuition is currently suspended, however I am more than happy to offer tuition via Zoom, Google Meet or Skype. My home office is equipped with a visualiser webcam so that I can use a whiteboard and show written documents/ textbooks during online lessons, and my dual screen setup makes sharing powerpoints and other files easy, and a natural part of many online lessons.
