Hello, I am a secondary school mathematics teacher, aiming to help all my students achieve their best potential in this subject and create a love of learning. My teaching strategies are very simple. I provide students with clear, concise examples that they can follow with explanations of why we carry out each step. This allows the students to have a deeper understanding and then go onto showing mastery in their own practice, by giving them their own set of questions to attempt. Questions are structured in a way, so they get difficult after each level. This will allow students to adapt their previous knowledge and slowly lead them to exam questions. My aim when teaching student’s mathematics, is to give them exposure to as many and different exam style questions. This enables students to build their confidence and prepare for their GCSE’s early on. I keep parents and guardians fully aware of how the students are getting on and what they can do to support them.
