Private tutorKS1 - KS5, GCSE, A Level History, Spanish, Latin, English tutor in Hexham, Northumberland
As of September 2019, I am studying for a PhD in Latin and Romantic English Literature at Newcastle University. I have a BA in Classical Studies and English with First Class Honours, and an MA in Classics with Distinction from Newcastle. I am from Hexham, Northumberland and currently live in Jesmond, Newcastle. I really want to help young people to fulfill their academic potential, whether at primary school level or studying for GCSEs and A Levels. For four years I worked part time as a sessional worker with adults and young people with learning difficulties, so I have experience in engaging with people from all backgrounds and with all capabilities. As of January 2021 I am leading seminars for undergraduate students in English Literature at Newcastle University. I look forward to hearing from you! Alice

What is your personal message to students?
Docendo discimus: we learn by teaching. Latin was my favourite subject at school, and I am really looking forward to the opportunity to teach other students. Studying Latin and English has brought me so many wonderful opportunities, including a trip to Rome earlier this year with my PhD funding body. My message to any student is: pursue the things that you enjoy, and you’ll find your way.
