I have been working as a Prep school teacher from 2013. Some of my new innovative ideas added value to the learning process of the children: Y4 were learning about a village in India so I organised an interactive SKYPE session with a village school in India to enrich their learning outside the classroom. The children were thrilled by this experience where they could get answers to many of their questions. I also organised Interhouse Geography quiz competition, Interschool Geography quiz competition to enrich the children’s enthusiasm for the subject. Geography in News lunch time club to create a weekly message board helped the children to update themselves with the current affairs and other interesting Geography facts. Bought EDINA Digi maps for school to introduce Digi map skills for the children at KS2. In addition to my teaching duties, I would be able to fulfil extracurricular expectations also. In recent years I have contributed to the school website, have helped develop enrichment policies, and organised an international Evening along with the Head boy team to support the diversity at the school. I would also like to add to the extracurricular activities by running new initiatives or assisting existing societies.

Hello I am looking to tutor students of all abilities. I have tutored many students over the past 3 years who are now are universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, Durham, Birmingham, and Harvard. I went to Loughborough Grammar School and achieved all A stars in my 5 A levels as well as an A star in EPQ, having already achieved 11 A stars at GCSE and IGCSE as well as accepting both an academic and music scholarship. I have achieved diplomas in classical guitar, singing, and piano (with distinctions in all 3) and have performed at the BBC Proms three times (being one of the youngest people ever to do so). After receiving numerous unconditional offers from Russell Group universities, I am now studying at the University of Birmingham. I self-taught some extra GCSEs, such as Computing to Grade A star, as well as creative writing A level. I set homework at the end of every lesson and will mark it in my own time. I will always go through it with my students in the next lesson and will provide very detailed feedback. I also offer my own revision packs which are full of lots of revision notes, exam technique, questions, and answers. Perhaps you know someone who needs just that little bit of extra help over the summer in order to achieve the grades they need for their exams or even to fulfil their university requirements? Or maybe you need some help for entrance exams at private secondary schools (just recently, I have prepared students for their successful entrance exams into Eton College)? Maybe you want to learn a new musical instrument or further your instrument on to a higher standard? I'm a student myself so I know what motivates people of my age and how they will be able to achieve the best results that they possible can. Please don't hesitate to contact me. I'd love to speak with you to find out what I can do to help. Happy studying!

I am a second year student at the University of Edinburgh from Birmingham, studying Russian and Chinese. I have 1.5 years' experience in online tutoring so truly understand the ways it differs from in person tutoring. With a background in English, History and Russian, I am happy to tutor in Russian and English at all levels up to A Level. I can help my students improve in Russian by delving into grammar and by encouraging them to converse in Russian to get used to the grammar we have just learnt and allow the muscle memory to kick in. I can help students in English by looking at the best way to put your points across in an essay and by looking at close analysis of texts, which in turn would help our work in creative writing. I am also an aspiring actor, with over 16 years' experience in it, so would love to tutor in acting as well.

I have a genuine love for tutoring History and English. I spend much of my spare time reading new books and love to hear my students' opinions on historical sources and literature. Tuition with me is an invitation to analyse texts together. Your own skills will progress to the point where you can analyse texts yourself because you know what to look for. I have enormous experience in academic writing and will guide you to write clearly and concisely. I set homework between classes. I have a system of marking which highlights the areas which need improvement. We work collaboratively. This fosters independence in my students and enables them to be able to analyse texts themselves and write their own responses. I have a proven academic background: - Durham University MA Medieval Studies - History and Latin at University of Newcastle (Australia) - BA History First Class Honours from the University of Liverpool In addition, I am proud to say that I have been entrusted to be an Academic Support Worker for disabled students at the University of Manchester for the past 4 years. I prioritise making sure you feel comfortable and confident being tutored, so I often shall ask if you have any questions and wholey encourage you to step in if you wish to. I believe encouragement is key to learning, as being overcritical impedes a students' motivation. I ensure studying remains an enjoyable experience on MyTutor by using only constructive criticism, using multiple approaches, and ensuring tasks are never unbearably overwhelming.

I am a 27-year-old English literature and history tutor with an enormous passion for both of my subjects. I have been tutoring GCSE-level history and English literature since 2012; with some additional experience aiding students with language and essay writing skills. Since 2015, I have tutored students in A-Level English literature. My core aims are to ignite my student's passion for a subject and boost their confidence. Very often students come to me with a belief that they are "too stupid" to succeed academically. This is NEVER the case - the issue usually stems from a lack of confidence in their own abilities. This is where I step in with my morale-building approach and uplift my student's self-esteem through words of affirmation, encouragement and refusal to give up on them. I don't believe in authoritarianism and prefer to engage with my students on an equal level, encouraging their academic maturity through independent thinking and objective discussion. It is always interesting to hear directly from the student where they are struggling and why they believe that is. Through direct and open communication, I am able to tailor their experience and offer them a personalised teaching programme that they will benefit from.
