I am a dedicated , proactive teacher with good humour and great compassion. My teaching career spans across all ages from 5 years to adults and I can honestly say that I enjoy all ages and abilities because my motivation is to meet the learner's need. For some it will be improving basic literacy and numeracy and perhaps developing coping strategies like confidence and self-esteem whilst other learners may lack the discipline or study skills to reach their academic goals. My experience ranges from teaching Primary Curriculum up to 'A' Level and I have years of experience in exam preparation. Most recently I have taught learners with learning, physical and developmental disabilities, behavioural , emotional and communication needs which offers tremendous satisfaction. I continue to keep up to date with effective strategies to support outcomes and remove barriers which may hold up learning. My qualification and knowledge in teaching English as a foreign language will support all English teaching and I am able to adapt the delivery to support EAL learners.
