I am an experienced pianist, teaching students for over 5 years from beginner all the way up to grade 8. At the age of 18, I received an offer to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London but instead chose to pursue a career in Engineering. I have a deep passion for classical music and enjoy performing music from composers such as Rachmaninoff, Beethoven and Chopin. I have completed and achieved distinction in my ABRSM performance diploma alongside participating in various piano competitions around the South of England. Although I am primarily a classical pianist, I have do also enjoy teaching contemporary styles of piano including pop and jazz or film music. I believe the secret to becoming a competent pianist is to develop the fundamentals and this is what I mostly focus on with my students which has enabled great success in the past. Despite this, I always tailor my approach to student's individual needs and am constantly seeking to ensure that they are enjoying their piano playing while making the most improvement possible.
