As a french native and journalist, I know how to perfectly use Moliere's language. I am going to do my master's degree in the UK, thus, I also have a good english (C1). I'm really passionate in languages. I loved and still love learning english, that's why I want to teach french and make learning it something really funny. I believe that learning a language is easier when you adapt it to your own daily life, and that's what I will try to teach you. As a native speaker it would be so interesting to help you discovering the culture while learning how to talk. Finally, as I also am a student, I know the way I wanted to be taught. Then, I could use my knowledge and my creativity to create a learning program which perfectly fit you.

I support students from GCSE to university level, specialising in A level Mathematics and Further Mathematics and preparation for university, including MAT, TMUA and STEP. With over 25 years' experience in teaching mathematics at university, I have strong subject knowledge. I offer friendly and supportive tuition and hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate. I was Admissions Tutor for Mathematics at the University of Nottingham for several years, so I can support students in their university applications, including the UCAS application process and preparation for entrance exams and interviews. I have also recently taught year 7, 8, 9 and 10 classes in local secondary schools, in person and online, as part of a teacher training course; this included current research on how best to support students in learning mathematics. I am calm and patient. I aim to develop a deep understanding of mathematics through careful sequencing of tuition; this helps to ensure that the student's learning is secure and that my tuition provides an excellent foundation for future studies. I recognise that for many students there has been significant disruption to learning due to covid-19 - I can support you in recovering from this disruption.

Fully qualified Science teacher, with 35 years of successful teaching experience. I will guide you in building up your understanding of Science, so that you make your own sensible "story" rather than feeling you are carrying a collection of random, unrelated facts. Exams don`t have to be a trial. We will use reliable, straightforward exam techniques so that you understand what a question is asking you to do, and can tackle it with real confidence. In our sessions, most of the talking should be yours: explaining something for yourself is a powerful and effective way to learn. I`m still surprised at how much laughter there is, too!

I am a self-taught acoustic/electric guitarist. I believe I can give you the knowledge to get a head start in guitar if from learning basic chords, tunings, finger picking and some basic riffs and solos. The best way is to start at the bottom and work the way up. I tend to start teaching the very basic chords that only require two fingers to start with then moving onto three then four. I look forward to helping you on your journey to playing the guitar. Christopher

A keen student currently studying for his masters in Medicinal Chemistry at Newcastle University. As a student myself I am all too aware of what is required to learn a course and receive top grades in exams. I have never received anything less than a 1st in any university exam and I believe this is due to a well structured method of revision. I am familiar with the current Gcse, iGcse, AS-level and A-level curricula for most of the major examination boards in Chemistry and Biology. I believe in taking a very individual approach to tutoring, adapting resources and approaches based on the individual student. We don't all learn in the same way. I believe learning should be fun, and as enjoyable for the student as it is for the teacher. I am friendly and approachable and I work hard to ensure that my lessons make a difference. Please get in touch if you wish to know more about me. Tom
