Hi, I'm Sarah and I am a recent graduate from the University of Bristol with first class honours in Zoology and I am now studying Veterinary medicine at the University of Nottingham. I am very passionate about biology, especially neurobiology, animal behaviour and parasitology. However, I found all the sciences extremely challenging throughout my school life and I myself benefited hugely from being tutored by older students who had recently been in a similar position but had a higher platform of understanding and knowledge. That is why I want to offer tutoring to students. I want to be able to make that difference and allow anyone to achieve their goals. I offer biology tutoring for Secondary school pupils including GCSE and A-level. I am happy to adapt the sessions to whatever the student what's to focus on whilst making the sessions fun and engaging. I am also happy to help/advise students going through the university application process, particularly those applying for veterinary medicine, in which i can help with interview preparation.

I am a qualified teacher QTS PGCE BSc Hons. I have taught in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Local Education Schools. . I have sucessfully tutored many students in their SATs, year exams, mocks, GCSE's and A Levels. (Successfully means that my tutees have boosted their grades at examination). There are excellent feedback reviews for my tutoring programmes and success of students on several tuition websites on my profiles (these websites also have my references). In the normal school world I travel to the students home and tutor in a single subject. In the pandemic days I tutor online using Skype. I tailor tuition lessons to the individual student and review progress and readjust lessons to best improve subject knowledge. I can offer single subjects or combinations of subjects either in 1hr30min lessons or alternate weeks e.g. English Language and English Literature (to the new revised specifications Sept 2020) ..or a combination of English and Mathematics. Just ask for your preferences. I set work according to my tutees needs and commitments and comment on improvements and for exam answers can check work against the Examination Board Mark Schemes. I am a friendly person, I find the best most useful resources or write them personally for my tutees. Education is really important and working at home or catching up really difficult, let me help you and your student/s succeed.

I am a consultant engineer working on the design and manufacture of research and development test rigs. I have a first class degree in mechanical engineering from Loughborough University and i have experience running STEM activities for groups of 20-30 secondary school students. I am offering GCSE/A-Level Tutoring in Maths and Physics. As I have achieved both academic achievement and practical experience in these subjects I can easily integrate real world applications of the topics being studied which I find helps students to fully understand, and remember, the subject matter. During my professional career I have also mentored groups of students who are carrying out extra-curricular industry led STEM projects. I am also a fully qualified SCUBA diving instructor regularly running courses at Loughborough University and have also worked as an instructor abroad teaching a large range of age groups.
Hi, I'm Dr Chris King - I'm an experienced, friendly maths and physics tutor who has been supporting students online and in person for two decades, with a focus on patience and excellence. I have a strong record of improving people's GCSE and A-Level exam and coursework performance across all main exam boards, as well as helping undergraduate students and adult learners. Not only that, but my tutees tend to find genuine enjoyment in subjects that they might previously have disliked. My effective online tutoring system uses interactive whiteboards and screensharing. My background is a masters degree (2004) and PhD (2008) in physics from the University of Nottingham. Having worked in a north-west engineering company for a few years, I am now back in the East Midlands where I am a Technical Team Lead at Rolls-Royce. I enjoy providing tuition in my spare time, helping people to grow in confidence and ability. I limit my intake to a small number of tutees at a time so that I don't spread myself thinly. Tuition uses a different skillset to my day job so I bring a fresh, energetic approach to my sessions. You get my full attention and support when I am tutoring you. When I'm not working and tutoring I love scuba diving, cycling and hillwalking.

You can literally be homeless penniless with no future in sight but if you have faith in yourself & start the steps towards believing in a future, building one block one inch at a time & you may only move an inch the next day & another inch the day after that. However, all of a sudden you've moved a foot in your life! I believe it's the same concept for learning as well. Never quit trying again and again until you master it.
