Angela Yi Yu Y
Beginner Mandarin tutor in London, London
£0.01-40.00Academic tutorI am a Chinese lady who came to the UK since 2002. Studied Joint BA Architectural Interior Design and CAD in London Metropolitan University and was an Architect Assistant. The births of my children led me to the early year education and I was going to study Montessori in MCI for them. And then I found my passion on children's education. In 2018 I was qualified as a Montessori teacher for 0-7 years old children, and was working in a accredited Montessori Setting. Before the lockdown, I have being started to apply to be a childminder, which is delayed due to the Covid-19. I was a private Maths and Mandarin teacher since 2000 in China. Now I teach the children age up to 8 in the Montessori Mandarin Cloud Classroom (online), as well as teach the adults Mandarin in private tuitions. Most people think or find that, as a second language, Mandarin is difficult to be learned. However, with the Montessori Mandarin method, it becomes fun and easier, especially for any children ago under 8. With Montessori Mandarin method, Learn Mandarin as their second mother tongue will not be a dream.

Arjun B
A level Maths, GCSE Maths tutor in London, London
£25.00-32.00Academic tutorHello! My name is Arjun, I recently graduated from the London School of Economics with a BSc in Mathematics and Economics. I’ve recently started a graduate job in the City. I left secondary school with 6 A*s and 5 As in my GCSEs & headed to Cambridge to study for my A levels. I left the Hills Road Sixth Form College in 2017 with A*AA in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Economics respectively. Throughout my time at Hills Road & the LSE, I’ve been in teaching & mentorship roles. My first was as an assistant for year 12s who were struggling with AS Maths. I helped numerous students succeed in their studies & indeed this is where I developed an interest in teaching. I continued this throughout my A levels, tutoring GCSE students in my hometown & A level students in my sixth form college. After moving to London for university, I became a designated ambassador for the Department of Mathematics. Through this role, I helped promote our degree and department at open days, speaking with A level students intending to apply to the LSE and spoke with parents about any concerns they had. During my second and final years, I continued to nurture my growing interest in teaching and mentorship, helping younger students with their first and second year modules. I also really enjoy helping students and young professionals write CV and cover letters for work experience, internship and job applications. Please let me know if these services would be of interest! It would be a great shame to lose the skills I have so carefully honed during my academic career. This is why I wish to become a GCSE and A level Maths tutor, as well as a CV and cover letter consultant. As shown by my previous experience, I’ve grown a deep interest in helping younger mathematicians thrive and flourish. If interested in how I could help you or your child blossom, please do get in touch. Thank you!

Mohammad Keshef K
£15.00-0.00Academic tutor
I am a fourth year Dental Medicine/Dentistry student studying abroad in Bulgaria, having completed my prior education in the UK. I am looking to tutor students for Maths, English and Science for Primary, KS3, and GCSE. I have been tutoring independently for a year and half and I have joined this company to be able to tutor more students during my spare time. In the current climate, due to COVID-19, I will be tutoring through an online platform, but once the fog clears and it is safe to do home visits, I am more than happy to tutor in-person. My experience in tutoring has been GCSE students studying Maths, English and Science, and I am well aware of the current curriculum and various exam boards, so I can tailor the content of the tutoring sessions to the student appropriately. I have also tutored my younger brother - who is autistic - online when I have been in Bulgaria, during his GCSEs.
