Having graduated with an honours degree in Science, majoring in Cell and Molecular Biology, my desire for teaching led me to my current study of a PGCE in Science with Biology. I believe personal tutoring can be highly effective given the one to one communication benefits that allow young adults to excel in their education. Through my experiences as a private tutor, I have seen the added benefits of that additional work and how it can be applied. I am available Sat-Sun 9-6 and Mon-Wed 6-7.

My name is Zahraa. I'm a native Arabic speaker, and I'm fluent in English and Italian. I've been living in Liverpool for the past 6 years. I decided to start teaching |Arabic because I've noticed that it's difficult to find good-quality Arabic lessons in Liverpool. The type of Arabic I teach is Modern Standard Arabic, known as MSA. MSA is widely understood all over the Arab world, as it is used in all media outlets, from TV to newspapers to radio. Almost all Arabic books and other written material are in MSA. I use a communicative teaching style, which means I don't focus on translation, instead I aim to interact with my students in a way that allows them to experiment and try out the language themselves. This means that the student will be doing a lot of talking and will be practicing the language through different tasks and activities. I know that trying to speak a foreign language can sometimes be a daunting experience, but I'm always tolerant of students making mistakes. I believe that making mistakes is a totally normal part of learning a foreign language. I think that learning Arabic is a gradual process, and my ultimate goal is to enable the student to use Arabic fluently and accurately at the end of the courses. I aim to cover the four main skills (speaking, listening, writing, and reading) in every lesson. I also regularly give homework to test my students’ progression. All of my lessons are tailored to fit the needs and goals of the student. I offer online lessons via zoom and face-to-face lessons in Liverpool, UK. I charge £15 per hour. You can choose to book 1 hour or 1.5 hours lessons. I offer single lessons, as well as a 10 lessons package. Booking the 10 lessons package will give you one free lesson. I also offer a 10% discount for student and for group bookings (max 4 people in a group). If you want to see what to expect from full lessons, you can book a 45 minute trial lesson for £7.50.
