I am a friendly and enthusiastic teacher of maths and science and have taken an early retirement to take up full time private tutoring since 2007 under the trade name The GOSH CENTRE for MATHS & SCIENCE. Over the years I have built up a reputation of making the learning of mathematics and science not only easy but also enjoyable. I analyse the personal learning ability of every child and help them develop their self-confidence, as it is, above all, a lack of confidence that holds most students back from achieving their full educational potential. I have found that, with this approach, students enjoy their learning, are motivated to succeed and their performance improves considerably without the rigours of “learning by rote”. Thus, while the relatively weaker students learn to overcome their shortcomings, those who are more able are given appropriate guidance to help them excel. My background includes a GCE ‘O’ Level [University of Cambridge] followed by Bachelor of Science [Physics Honours], Bachelor of Technology [Electronics & Instrumentation], Master of Engineering [Electronics & Control] and PhD[Eng]. For more than 30 years I have been teaching Mathematics, Science and Electronics at a wide range of levels including GCSE/IGCSE, GCE – AS/A Level, HND, ND, BSc and BEng. In 2007 I set up The GOSH CENTRE for MATHS & SCIENCE - the trade name under which I offer a personal tuition service specialising in tutoring small groups and one-to-one. Since then I have taught innumerable students with remarkable success. My students include those from independent schools such as Harrow School, Merchant Taylors' School, St Margaret's School, Haberdashers' Aske's School, The City of London School, as well as Grammar Schools and state comprehensive schools. Kindly visit www.goshcentre.co.uk for more details.

I am an Artificial intelligence and robotics MSc student who achieved a first-class honors degree in biomedical engineering. Maths and physics come naturally to me as I have been studying both areas for the past 9 years. I like to teach and share my knowledge in different areas and expertise. I am a quick learner and I like to teach individuals from different levels in a way that suits their needs rather than a standard way of teaching. Students can come back with any homework/questions set up during the sessions for any guidance via email.
Hi, my name is Andres. I`m a qualified primary school teacher (QTS) and have been teaching for 10 years. Throughout this time I have worked across all age ranges covering EYFS, KS1 and KS2, teaching in schools in London and Hertfordshire. During my career I have held full time roles and also worked as supply cover. I feel it is important that children become independent and confident learners from a young age. My teaching has always been driven on this belief and I aim to instil a love for learning in every child I work with. I can tutor all subjects across the Primary curriculum and will tailor the learning to suit your child’s needs. I am currently taking a break from teaching to be a stay at home dad having recently had our first child. I can accommodate tutoring sessions throughout the week, both during the day and evenings.

As an passionate maths tutor, I will strive to provide students with one-to-one support which will solidify their understanding of topics they have covered in class, and provide ideas and guidance for tackling exam style questions. My aim is always to improve the confidence of students in order to support them in working on their Mathematical studies to the best of their ability. I have a First-Class Honours degree in Mathematics from University of Leeds, prior to which I ran tutoring sessions throughout my gap year from GCSE up to A-Level Maths and Further Maths. During my second year at university I was a Peer Assisted Learning Mentor to a group of first year students, helping them with their studies, and most recently I have been on an internship in the Maths Department at Parmiter’s School in Hertfordshire, where I was teaching and observing classes in year 9 and year 12. Within the past year I have been tutoring year 13 students in preparation for their maths A-Level exams; developing the problem solving thinking required in the new specifications. Hour length, one-to-one sessions, over zoom. I will book in regular slots with students, usually on a Saturday or on specific days in the week, and my aim is always to keep these as stable as possible. However I sometimes require some flexibility, as working as a freelancer means that projects come up and my schedules may change. There will always be as much notice as possible if a timeslot needs to shift at all.
