I am an experienced tutor who, as GCSE and A-Level exams approach, is looking to take on new students who need extra support with their revision, whether the aim is to recap and consolidate learning, or boost grades by providing extension work. I have a strong academic record and can tutor English Language and/or Literature, History, Philosophy and Religious Studies up to GCSE and A-Level. I can also provide support for younger students with literacy and numeracy from Primary to KS3. I recently graduated from the University of Oxford with a first class degree in History. I have spent the last year and a half working full-time supporting students in Further Education colleges who are resitting their GCSE English and Maths. I therefore have an up-to-date DBS check, strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and exam board specifications, and a wealth of experience personalising learning to the individual needs of students.

As an Oxford Graduate with five years of experience as a private tutoring and a number of successes, I am in a strong position to offer high quality, academic tutoring to students of any nationality and all capabilities and do so in an encouraging, patient, understanding and motivating manner. I seek on all occasions to enable students to discover their own unique approach to study and enhance creative and independent thinking. I take great care to respond to each student individually and design work programs to suit individual temperaments and learning styles, especially dyslexia and dyspraxia. Hi, I’m Thea. I’m 18 and preparing to start a History BA at Oxford University in October, after receiving 3 A*s (English, Maths and History) at A-Level earlier this month. I’ve been tutoring locally for the past two years mainly in GCSE Maths, English and History.
