History Tutors in City Of Westminster and History Tutoring in City Of Westminster
Ciao! I'm Esmond. I'm a writer, composer, director and artist, and prizewinning History finalist at the University of Oxford, with experience of a broad range of learning environments and teaching styles, and substantial industry experience in music and the creative arts. Deeply passionate about my subjects, I'm dedicated to each of my students and enthusiastic about sharing the joy of learning with them. I have extensive knowledge across the Arts and Humanities, especially in history, music, art and literature. I tutor History, Music, History of Art and Latin to A-Level and IB, and English, Design and Technology (Graphic Design route) and Maths to GCSE/IGCSE. I also provide mentoring, including guidance on personal statements, submitted work, admissions tests and interviews, for students applying to study History and related subjects at both Oxbridge and other universities. More broadly, I work with students at all levels to develop essay writing, research, problem-solving and study skills. Taking a student-centred approach, I place emphasis on developing a deep-seated intrinsic passion for learning in my students and on encouraging them to think independently, critically and originally.

I am a Masters Degree holder in Banking and Finance, currently pursuing my PhD in Micro-insurance - Microfinance. I also free lance as a consultant for the World Bank and insurance companies on their projects for Microfinance and Microinsurance in developing countries. Teaching is my passion and to me teaching means developing a student`s ability to learn, to think logically, to analyze and comprehend the nuances of the subject that they are learning. Hence I teach them how to think and not what to think. I believe that there is nothing one can not learn. Each student is unique and it is up to a teacher to use an approach that most suits the student instead of adopting a common approach for all students. I have tutored students in Business Studies, Economics, Corporate Finance / Financial Management, Financial Risk Management at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and helped them score distinctions in their exams and course works. I have also conducted Bloomberg training sessions for students and faculty members of Kingston University Business School. I like reading about architecture and listening to music in my spare time.

Hello, my name is Alexander and I'm a qualified barrister with specialisms in EU, international and competition law. That said, I can teach most domains of law! I hold First-Class Honour degrees from the London School of Economics, the University of Oxford and City Law School and, until Brexit, was employed as a junior barrister at the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg. I'm now back in London working on a doctorate, and seeking to support children and families with any tutoring and/or learning needs. I hold an Advanced DBS Check Certificate (re-issued in January 2021), and have previously worked with children with SEN or Disability (SEND) as an advocate before the Education Tribunal. I am available weekdays in the daytime or evening, as well as weekends- whenever best suits you and your family. Subjects I can teach My specialisms are in history, politics and law, though I am equally happy to teach English language & Literature, Geography or Sociology. I achieved A*A*A*A* at A level in English, Geography, History and Politics so am competent at this level. I read International History at the LSE for my undergraduate, before completing a two-year M.Phil in International Relations at Oxford. I then completed a law conversion and was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in 2019. I have been a tutor for three years, working with students in the UK, USA and Luxembourg. I have tutored in both English and French.
