I am an experienced PGCE qualified teacher since 1997. For the last 24 years, I have been first a Secondary and later on a Primary school educator in Bristol and surrounding areas. I have been a Modern Foreign Languages (MFLs) specialist, in French and Spanish. I have taught Modern Foreign Languages from Key Stages 1 to 5 in various schools in Bristol. I am naturally sociable person, passionate in making language learning fun. Based on years of professional and life experience, I like to empower multilingualism in my teaching. As learning another language has been scientifically and medically proven to have beneficial impact on personal well-being and contribute in helping cerebral fitness, I take teaching Modern Foreign Languages seriously and like to share my passion to students. Furthermore I am incline to support the fact that learning another language helps learners to understand cultural differences and provides opportunities in celebrating the richness of the multicultural and diverse communities fit for the 21st Century. I am a firm believer in using music, dance and drama in teaching as it has a very positive impact in the learning of students. Adding to my extensive experience in teaching Modern Foreign Languages (French and Spanish) from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5, I enjoy promoting creativity in education in my day-to-day teaching, especially using music, dance and art to inspire children’s/students’ learning of languages. I therefore think that the Art and languages help students enhance their creative abilities by "stretching" their Neuroplasticity.

I’m Toby, a friendly 22-year-old who recently graduated from the London School of Economics with a first in Maths with Economics. Whether you’re a maths-whiz looking for that extra push towards an A*, or someone who finds the subject a little more mysterious, my patient approach and clear explanations will give you the tools for success. I'm a passionate mathematician, and I love finding multiple ways to explain the same concept. This not only allows my students to find methods which work for them, but also leads to a strong understanding. What's more, you'll experience lots of 'aha' moments when you realise how the different approaches link together!

I believe that your child has the potential to learn and enjoy learning. As a qualified and experienced primary teacher with 10 years of working as a Reading Recovery Teacher and 5 years as a Numbers Count Teacher, it is my responsibility to facilitate learning for them. It is essential that I have excellent subject knowledge and understand how young children learn. I can then deliver the curriculum in a way that is tailored to the specific needs of your child. There is a myriad of reasons why a child may be finding it difficult to learn in class. I create individual programmes to accelerate their progress. I will first identify their strengths. I will then build on these strengths, supporting your child to develop confidence, empowering them to take an active role in their learning and recognise themselves as lifelong learners with skills that they can take back into the classroom.
Hi my name is Sue Morse, and I am a specialist in English, particularly Reading. I teach in a Bristol Academy MAT and also privately tutor children from KS1 to KS3. I am available to tutor in your home, mostly after school hours; but I can also work in the afternoon. I have been teaching for over 10 years and have a very successful track record in boosting and accelerating progress in English and Maths. If your child would benefit from tutoring in English or Maths; -perhaps to catch up, or because you want them to experience the advantage of 1 to 1 support- I will work with your child to identify their strengths and teach them the right strategies to overcome any difficulties or areas of weakness. Your child will become more confident in all aspects of their learning and make accelerated progress.

My name is Jojo, I am a 2nd year University of Bristol student completing a 3-year course in (BSc) Economics and Management. I have an excellent academic record and studied Maths, Physics and Economics, at A-Level. I partnered with a tutoring company when I was a student in London and really enjoyed it, so I thought it would be a great student job to get at university. At the company (Number Works 'n' Words) I taught Maths and English from primary school levels through to GCSE. I would also feel confident teaching Economics at A-Level. I would offer structured lessons for your child and be able to teach for up to 2 hours per week per student. Thank you and please get in touch!

I am currently studying at the University of Bristol on the MSc Nutrition, Physical Activity and Public Health course, after completing my BSc in Marine Biology at the University of Essex in 2020. Being an MSc student, I have been able to create a working revision routine and several research strategies which I can pass on to my students. However, I understand that each student`s working strategy is different, and I am enthusiastic when helping other`s find what best works for them. My aim is to help my students along to the point where I am no longer needed. My subject expertise covers Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I also specialise in Research Methods and Essay Writing - two key areas of consideration for a University-level studying. I will not shy away from admitting that when something is brought to me that I do not at first know the answer to - together with the student, we will tackle the problem and I will demonstrate the steps I would take in finding the solution.

I graduated from Bristol University in 2011, with a high 1st class Master's degree in Maths and Physics. I received A grades for all modules in my high school and the Foundation year (A-level equivalent). I am confident and enjoy in tutoring Maths and Physics at all levels up to University Level. In the first of my university study, I did a summer placement as a teaching assistant in Bristol Bishop Road Primary School. I then carried on teaching as a private tutor to the present. Constantly, I receive very good feedbacks based on the results my tutees achieved.
